What we value and believe
We value all pupils irrespective of their needs, behaviour or background.
We believe that all pupils deserve equal access to the opportunity to enjoy and achieve, stay healthy and save and make a positive contribution to their community and enjoy economic prosperity.
We believe that schools is where children should be for all or most of their education
What we aim to do
When working with pupils at The Forest Centre or in schools, we aim to encourage the development of learning and social skills to enable pupils to access more education and we try to improve support for pupil behaviour in all Area 6 schools.
At the centre, we also aim
To offer a broad and balanced curriculum which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural and physical development of pupils
To encourage pupils to achieve their full potential by taking part in all activities on offer
To enable pupils to form positive relationships with adults and their peer group
To work in partnership with pupils, parents, schools and other agencies to enable pupils to enjoy healthy, safe lives
To encourage socially acceptable behaviour conducive to learning and to enable pupils to take increasing responsibility for their actions
To prepare pupils to move on to the next stage of their lives with confidence
