Welcome to the

Forest Education Centre

The Forest Education Centre is a Hampshire County Council educational provision and part of Children’s Services. Located at Cabot Drive in Dibden, it provides educational opportunities for pupils between 11-16 years of age.

The majority who attend The Forest Education Centre have been referred because of behaviour difficulties, while others have been permanently excluded from school. For some, attendance at school may be on the point of breakdown for emotional reasons or a referral will have been made following a medical diagnosis that the pupil is too unwell to attend mainstream school.

At the Centre, highly qualified staff teach pupils in groups of no more than six.  Apart from being taught curriculum subjects, pupils are encouraged to develop respect and responsibility for themselves, for others and for their surroundings.  They are expected to uphold the behaviour policy and they are encouraged to develop greater confidence in their abilities and high aspirations for the future.
