GCSE RESULTS DAY-. The Centre will be open on Thursday 20th August from 11.30-1.00pm and pupils are invited to collect results during this time. Any results that have not been collected will be sent out that day via first class post.  Please notify us of any change of address by Friday 17th July.

Pupils will be able to collect GCSE Resistant Materials coursework on this day.

We already hold a number of examination certificates for non GCSE exams (Functional Skills, Entry Level, ECDL and BTEC) and these will also be available for collection on the 20th.  GCSE certificates are not issued until October and once they have been received pupils will be contacted to arrange collection.

Welcome to the Forest Education Centre !

Every single member of our team is determined that all our pupils, whatever their background, receive the best possible preparation for independent adult life.

We believe passionately that our young learners should have the same opportunities as their peers in mainstream education. We set the same levels of challenge and expectation and provide constant and precise support so that our pupils reach their academic targets and make successful progression, either back to mainstream school or onward to post-16 education, training or employment.

We provide an education for: -

·KS3-4 pupils who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school, or who are at risk of permanent exclusion, and children with special educational needs awaiting a place at a special school.

·KS1-KS4 pupils who are medically unwell or who are emotionally vulnerable with a diagnosis of mental health difficulties.

Our core purpose is to maximise the academic achievement of our pupils while addressing their individual social and emotional needs, often with the additional support of other external agencies.

We work in close partnership with nine secondary schools in the New Forest and with The Clifford Centre, KS1/2 Behaviour Support Team for the New Forest.

Education is provided onsite at the Centre and offsite through Home Tuition and through Alternative Provision. Our younger pupils follow the national curriculum. KS4 pupils receive a personalised curriculum containing a mix of academic subjects and vocational programmes, all of which lead to national accreditation. We also provide an Outreach service to support Reintegration to Mainstream schools, facilitate Managed Moves between schools and undertake preventative work to reduce Exclusions and Referrals.

Please call me at any time if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you.

Best wishes

Dominic Coburn
